Y'all, this is hard. Blogging is hard. Trying to build a brand & a company is hard.
Showing the entire world, the real me, is hard.
Letting go of my insecurities, the voices in my head- the ones telling me I'm not good enough and that I never will be- it's hard.
So why am I telling you all of this?
Because, life is hard. But that's doesn't mean you can give up.
Life being hard doesn't give you the right to give up on your dreams, or to let them slowly
slip away as you wallow in pain or frustration.
Trust me, I've been there, done that. It does nothing but leave you with regret.
So stop telling your friend all about your idea you have, go and make it happen.
Stop complaining that no-one will help you with a project- research, YouTube it, learn how to do it yourself & do it. Stop relying on other people.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself because you don't have the resources or money that others have. Find other ways around it. Be creative. Use your brain beyond the point of ideas & words.
We all know the saying, actions speak louder than words. But we don't follow that.
We are a society of talking. We talk ourselves in circles- I know, I do it too.
But ya know what? I look back some days at all of the talking I did and realize, dang, I could've gotten so much accomplished today. I could've made it that much closer to nailing my goal, if I had just shut my mouth & stopped talking about what I was going to do, and just did it instead.
Also, it discredits you.
We've all been there. We tell everyone we know about this idea we have & by the time we get around to starting it, we either didn't think through something & you can't actually do it, or you're just bored with the idea.
Eventually people will start to think you're a fraud, someone they can't count on.
So stop talking & start doing.
Now before I shut my big mouth for the day, I want you to know something.
Every night I come home after working 8 hours, only to work for another 5-6 on my blog, channel, and social media. It's hard curating posts. It's hard coming up with content that will be valuable to you!
I want you to know, that this is hard.
Because I want you to know how much I care about you. I care so much, that I am motivated to come home, exhausted, and to put in another day's work. I am motivated to create posts & content that will improve your life & bring you joy!
Most days, I want to quit. It really sucks sometimes. When I don't get as much interaction as I was hoping, when I give my all to something & nobody responds; that's hard. I constantly question myself, am I good enough? Do they really hate me that much? Am I that boring? Is everyone just laughing & pointing while I'm over here thinking that I'm killing it?
So this is why I am here. For those of you who are sitting & laughing, I hope that you have a wonderful day, I really do. Hopefully one day we can connect over coffee & you can tell me what you think to my face & I can try to offer some insight on why I do what I do.
But for those of you who have shown me support & love, reached out to say that I've touched you, thank you. You are why I do what I do. I love you. I care about you. I want you to know that you are a part of something so much bigger- you are SO incredibly valuable.
I want you to know that I am pushing past the doubt & the negativity, because I believe that you are worth it. I mean, I wouldn't go through all of this just for me!
I have been given a lot of advice to give up; I mean it's not exactly like I'm hitting my numbers goals. But, I'm going to push forward and continue, because even if thousands of people passed me by because they didn't like what I had to say, or because my page isn't as pretty as everyone else's pages, it'd still be worth it. It would still be worth it to even have one person's life touched. One person inspired to go forth and pursue their dreams, full force. For one person to know that they're worth more than gold & created for a distinct purpose, that is what makes it worth it.
So thank you, for every one of you who supports me, please continue to share with your friends & family- it helps me to be able to continue doing what I do.
Remember, if I can do it, you can do it. Don't give up on your dreams just because they're out of reach right now. It's okay to start small, 99.99% of the world starts small at some point in their lives. You got this.
I love you all to the moon & back.
