was written in the bathtub at 2 am after experiencing my second miscarriage. Distraught and suicidal I was over living and I just wanted to be done. Instead I chose to do the only thing I know how: write a song. This song is the physical realization that I did not value or love myself. It is a cry for help when you're too afraid to ask.
Biography
The 23 year-old Detroit native-turned Tennessean, Riley Q first released music as a pop/country artist in 2017. After following her intuition to use her music to bring awareness for social issues that she struggled with such as sexual assault recovery and mental illness, she transitioned to a new look & pop sound. In 2019 she got involved with ILP technology and the Internet of Value. Joining Coil and Cinnamon she quickly established an influence in the community. January of 2020 Riley launched her podcast, Merge exclusively available on her web-monetized website and on Coil. Her goal with the podcast was to merge the space between the creative industry and the Internet of Value. It ran for 1 season before the pandemic & pregnancy hit & she chose to move on to other projects. She is passionate about the future of the internet and improving the way that artists and creators get paid. With Motown roots & a classic country upbringing, she brings a gritty soul vibe to the polished pop world.
